Meet our Founder

Hi, I’m Pam. Creative Acts of Praise began with a simple question: how can the handmade work of artists and crafters become real, tangible help for our neighbors in need? What started around a table with friends, fabric, and thread grew into a vision — connecting creativity with compassion. This space brings together makers of every age to turn beautiful work into practical support for our communities.

About

This work is born from lived experience and the quiet, transformative power of practical care.

In 1994 I became a single mother raising two daughters. During that season, I found support through a local ministry for single mothers — a community that offered not only encouragement, but real, tangible help. Emotional support, spiritual guidance, and everyday resources came together to meet needs with dignity and compassion. Within that same community, my daughters flourished in the church’s youth group and served alongside me in the single mothers ministry, learning early that faith is lived through care for others.

Over many years in that community, I learned how practical assistance — offered faithfully and thoughtfully — can change the course of a family’s life.

Creativity has always been part of my story. From knitting and crocheting as a child, to making handmade gifts during financially difficult seasons, creating became both a personal refuge and a way to give meaningfully. That tradition continues today through my family and through relationships with other artists and makers who create beautiful, skillful work.

Creative Acts of Praise exists to bridge a gap - honoring creativity and channeling it into tangible, faithful support for communities in need.
