Meet the “real” Micah!

If you’ve spent any time with Pam and Persephanie, chances are you’ve already met Micah.

She wanders through the craft room, curls up in her crocheted bed, interrupts conversations, occasionally helps herself to things that do not technically belong to her, and generally behaves as though Creative Acts of Praise is being operated for her personal benefit.

There is, however, a real Micah behind all of that.

Micah Marie is my chocolate-brown poodle and very real companion. She is the inspiration for the little dog you see with Pam and Persephanie in our videos, and while her digital version may occasionally take a few creative liberties, the personality behind her is very much rooted in the real thing.

Micah has a remarkable ability to be wherever I am.

If I’m working, she’s nearby.

If I’m creating, she’s nearby.

If there is food involved, her commitment to being nearby reaches an entirely different level.

Like so many beloved pets, Micah has simply woven herself into the ordinary rhythms of life. She brings companionship, laughter, comfort, and the occasional reminder that whatever I thought I was doing can probably wait until she has been properly acknowledged.

That is really why Micah’s Spot became part of the Creative Acts of Praise home.

Our animals become part of our stories.

They sit beside us through ordinary days and difficult ones. They make us laugh when we need it. They seem to know when we need comfort. They become part of our families, our memories, and sometimes even our ministries.

So Micah has graciously agreed to share her room.

Well…we told her she was sharing it.

This is where we want to celebrate your beloved pets too.
